Prisha Patel

Overview

Prisha Patel joined the Tricoastal team as a gap year fellow in January 2024. She is passionate about medicine and strives to be a patient advocate by assessing patients' medical needs and meeting them in every way possible. Her goals include attending medical school and she is currently interested in pursuing trauma surgery or interventional cardiology. 

Education

Prisha is currently in her first year of her Masters in Public Health (majoring in Epidemiology) at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. She completed her undergraduate education with honors from Texas A&M University in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Biomedical Sciences. During her time at Texas A&M, Prisha was a student leader for 2 years. In the University Honors Program, she mentored younger students. As President of the Texas A&M Emergency Care Team, she led her organization and trained members in Advanced First Aid and EMS skills. Prisha has also been involved in research at Texas A&M and is currently working on two projects at McGovern Medical School and MD Anderson.
